Michael Ries

Joining the Hawkeye family in 2022, Michael Ries is known for his quick solution-driven approach to quality control and organizational excellence. In his role as Director of QA/QC, he brings over 25 years of experience as a technical and operational leader, as well as decades of expertise as a civil engineer working with the gas, energy, and electrical industries.

Located in the Hauppauge, New York office, Michael is known for his strong work ethic, passion for problem solving, and unique ability to create clear pathways of communication that drive impressive, unified results. By building a workplace centered on continuous improvement and quality, Michael has helped develop a ‘Build-It-Right-The-First-Time’ culture responsible for greater outcomes and better solutions.

Whether he is improving the Elecnor Hawkeye Management System or streamlining the processes and standards for all business units, Michael is responsible for implementing systems that have proven critical in the organization’s continue growth and success. By providing input and leadership centered on continuous improvement, as well as quality oversight for all of Hawkeye’s construction projects, Michael leverages his vast knowledge and expertise to find meaningful solutions to challenge problems.

Alongside his wife, their three daughters, and two precious pups, Michael can be found hitting the slopes, exploring the shore, or delving into home renovations. Driven by his personal philosophy of ‘work hard, play hard’, he approaches his personal life with the same tenacity and curious nature as he does in his work with Hawkeye.
